How it works
A retainer fee is like a monthly design fee. It is paid up front each month before work is ordered. Essentially, you are paying for time versus a specific service. Based on the retainer package you select, I will block out my schedule with the appropriate amount of hours each month and plan my workload accordingly.

- My retainer packages are for clients who already have their basic brand guidelines and logo in place. New branding/logo designs do not fall under this service.
- A minimum 3-month commitment is required. At the end of 3 months, we will re-evaluate your package level to ensure the number of hours are fitting your business needs. After that, we can move to 6, 9, or 12 month commitments, OR we can take it one month at a time if that's your preference.
- A set number of hours is allocated each month for your projects. Unused hours expire at the end of each month. They do not roll over, as that would defeat the purpose of a project retainer. This is to ensure that I leave adequate time for your projects and plan my workload accordingly.
- I will let you know if we are running close to hitting your monthly hours. If additional time is needed for the month, you will be made aware before I work extra. Additional hours are billed at my standard hourly rate of $120/hr.
- You will be invoiced on the same day each month, for the month ahead. Your invoice date will be dependent on when you started your retainer service. Invoice will include the monthly retainer rate, as well as any additional charges from previous month.
Retainer Details
- Print Materials – brochures, sales sheets, direct mailers, cards, event programs, signage, etc.
- Digital Materials – social media graphics, blog banners, and other web graphics.
- Ad Design – print and web ads
- Canva Templates – Your work can be completed in traditional design programs (Adobe Creative Suite), or I'm happy to utilize Canva to great create assets that you can pull into your own account and use with your team.
- Web Maintenance (available exclusively to my web clients).
- Additional services are available upon request.
- Retainers do not include additional costs like stock photography & fonts.
- Retainers do not include print services. Print services are quoted and billed separately.

Either send me an email or contact me. We will set up a consultation so I can hear more about your projects and ongoing needs. Once the first month’s payment is received, I will set up all your projects within my monthly schedule. Every 30 days, we'll schedule a call to review the next month’s work. During this time, we will also see if we need to adjust the number of hours reserved for you each month.
